Prague airport information

General information about Prague airport

There are two major civilian airports in Prague, one of which - Václav Havel Airport Prague (formerly Prague Ruzyně International Airport) - is the largest in the country. It handles all kinds of flights 24 hours a day non-stop. The airport has four terminals and 4 helicopter pads. One can get from the airport to the city by bus or by taxi. The second gateway in Prague is Letňany airport. Most tourists arrive to Prague through this airport. It is located close to the underground station and is more convenient. The airport authorities are environmentally conscious. The natural grass runway surface has been preserved here, which is hard to find nowadays in civilian airports. If you are looking for the bird's eye view of the city, you can use services of two aeroclubs housed in Letňany airport.
